Weaving Placemats

Weaving Placemats

Class meets on Friday, April 6
2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

6 in stock

These placemats are fun to weave because they work up quickly, are functional, and make great gifts! Our class will cover considerations when weaving table linens, hemstitching, 2 shuttle weaving, alternating color warping, and handling multiple pieces on one warp. As a bonus, students will receive a pattern to complete coordinating napkins in log cabin weave.
Class time will be 4 hours and will provide an opportunity to warp together for a set of 4 placemats and begin weaving the pattern. Once above concepts are covered, students will be able to complete the set on their own.

Skill Level: Must have taken a beginner class.

Materials needed:
DK weight: approx. 840 yds main color, 100 yards contrast. Possible yarn choices are Dale Garn Pure Lino, Vipe, or Terne; Be Sweet Serina or Bambi. Tammy will discuss the advantages of each. Yarn purchased for this class will be 30% off Heart of the Mitten prices.
